Priscilla Morgan

Priscilla Morgan ( born 1934 in Essex, England) is a British theater and film actress.

Life

Priscilla Morgan was born in 1934 in the English county of Essex. At the age of 16, she gained her first experiences on stage at the Old Vic Theatre in London. In 1954, she appeared as a housemaid Doreen beside Margaret Lockwood in Terence Rattigan's Separate Tables for the first time at London's West End. In 1956, she stood for the television show Lilli Palmer Theatre for the first time on camera. Two years later she was again in the role of Doreen, alongside Deborah Kerr, Rita Hayworth, David Niven and Burt Lancaster Separate Tables bed ( Separate Tables, 1958), an adaptation of Rattigan's play, for the first time on the big screen to see. In 1959 she played Hermia in a British television adaptation of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream (A Midsummer Night 's Dream ) on the side of Charles Laughton, Albert Finney, Ian Holm and Vanessa Redgrave. In 1962, she came in six episodes of the sketch series of Benny Hill used. It was followed by other roles in British television shows, including the crime drama The man with the suitcase ( Man in a Suitcase, 1967). In a five-part BBC adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice ( Pride and Prejudice ) she was also seen in 1980 in the role of Mrs. Bennet. In 1987 she retired from the film business.

Since 1959 she is married to the actor Clive Dunn, with whom she has two daughters, Polly and Jessica. Together they live in the Algarve, where Morgan was repeatedly also worked as a theater director.
