Procyclical and countercyclical

Anti-cyclical behavior called processes that move contrary to the general expectation, or contrary to the usual behavior patterns.

An anti - attitude is only one half of a movement or an operation. You always presupposes an " Against what ". It is not always clear which side as cyclical and what is considered to be counter-cyclical.

The term has come to be mainly in the following areas:

• General living, for example for social adjustment or attitude to technology and belief in progress.
• Economic and investment behavior: Low public investment in times of economic boom, to keep the investment low ceiling; Public spending to stimulate trade within the meaning Anti Cyclical fiscal policy.
• Stock market: buying behavior contrary to the usual trend ( with increasing sales and purchase price drop in the price ), see contrarian strategy.
• Education and training: Going for an education in a segment with currently low chances in the hope that the situation is reversed until the completion of training.
• In communication situations, especially in the professional field: Unfriendly responses reciprocate with kindness, questions with questions to answer, etc.
