Product Placement (Album)

Product placement is a mix album by DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist. It is the style of Art turntablism.

Recording

DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist whip up for product placement from around 130 7 " singles together two tracks, each for about half an hour. For this, they used mainly songs from the genres of funk and soul, occasionally be heard, even rock and hip -hop. Publications

Product placement was first published by the label One29 Recordings on CD in 2001. This edition was limited to 6000 copies. In the following years, various bootlegs of the album were published; also on LP.

Predecessor and successor

Product placement is part of a series of four Mixalben who have published together DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist. Predecessor was Brain Freeze of 1999, was succeeded by The Hard Sell and The Hard Sell ( Encore ) from the years 2007 and 2008.

Reception
