Professional

A professional, short word of veraltend professionist, is someone who pursues an activity as opposed to the amateur or dilettante business or the acquisition of one's livelihood as employment.

The concept of professionalism, especially the adjective professional, is also used as identification of the type of an activity that, in many cases regardless of whether this is done for a fee. This term is also used to describe the quality of a product, in particular the suitability as a reliable tool for professional practice (eg, professional software ).

Professional and professionalism

In general one expects from a professional a formal qualification and higher performance than by an amateur.

A professional will be awarded professional features. The notions of professionalism generally go more or less over uncommitted professional requirements, to actually expect an increased level of knowledge, skills and abilities, a special problem-solving skills and a strong professional distance from a person if - regardless of the fact that it relates income on their activities - as a "professional " is called.
