Profile diagram

The profile graph used in the Metamodellebene to display so-called stereotypes with classes, which then get the name << stereotype >> or << profile >> profiles and packages. The extended relation (solid line with closed and filled in arrow) indicates which Metamodellelement extends a given stereotype.

History

The profile chart was not provided in UML1. It was newly added only with UML2 diagrams to represent the elementary use of profiles. Before that had to be used like other such as class diagrams for this purpose.
