Profunda femoris artery

The arteria profunda femoris ( "deep femoral artery " ) is an artery of the lower limb. Leaving the femoral artery below the inguinal ligament. Then extends into the depth between the stretching and Adduktionsmuskulatur of the thigh.

Branches of the arteria profunda femoris are:

  • Aa. perforators that supply the muscles of the thigh flexor particular page.
  • Circumflex artery femoris lateralis and medialis, which supply the femoral head and represent anastomoses to the circumflex artery ilium superficialis.
