Project MUSE

The Project MUSE is a company founded by Todd Kelley and Susan Lewis 1993 online archive of academic journals. It is a project of the Johns Hopkins University Press and the Milton S. Eisenhower Library was funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

About the Project MUSE only the journals of the Johns Hopkins University Press were initially accessible, since 2000, the publications of other publishers are available. The online archive provides access to the publications of over 230 scholarly publishers and learned societies, including eg the MIT Press and the Cambridge University Press and the African Studies Association ( Stand: 01/ 2014). In Germany, the Project MUSE is loud journal database in 20 academic libraries available (as of 01/ 2012).
