Pröller

Looking East

With 1048 meters of Pröller is the most famous mountain of St. Englmar and Kollnburg in the Bavarian Forest. In good weather you have a good view to the east, ranging from Hohen Bogen, Kaitersberg, Osser, Arber to Rachel from the summit cross. Previously, they had also not block your view to the south and west because the summit was widely free of trees. This can be seen on old photographs from the first summit cross inauguration in 1923. Property owners of Pröllergipfels is since 1922 the Straubing section of the Bavarian Forest Club. In winter, the Pröller with its ski lifts on the west, north and east sides of one of the greatest ski mountains in the Bavarian Forest.
