Geography

Geographical Location

The municipality is located in the Danube- forest in the heart of the Bavarian Forest north of the 1,050 m high Pröller between Viechtach (5 km ) and Saint Englmar ( 6 km). The two cities arc and rain are both 27 km away, while there are both 31 km from Deggendorf and Cham.

History

The story Kollnburgs is closely connected with the homonymous castle which is first mentioned in 1153 as Chalnberch. Even in 1685 it was Kalmperg while it is already described by Bernard Grueber and Adalbert Müller in her 1846 published book The Bavarian Forest as Kollenburg.

Kollnburg belonged to the Barons of Kastner. The village was part of the Electorate of Bavaria, but formed a closed Hofmark whose seat was Kollnburg. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

Incorporations

In the course of municipal reform communities Allersdorf and Kirchaitnach were on October 1, 1971, the municipality Rechertsried and on May 1, 1978 incorporated into the municipality Kollnburg.

Policy

Parish council

The council has been working for the municipal election on 2 March 2008 as follows:

  • CSU: 6 seats ( 42.6 % of the vote )
  • FWG: 4 seats (26.5% of the vote)
  • SPD: 3 seats (21.9% of the vote)
  • Green / party lots / ODP: 1 seat ( 9.1% of the vote)

Mayor

Mayor since 2008 Josefa Schmid (FDP, until October 2012 CSU), who was elected with 55.22 % of votes. On 16 March 2014 Schmid was confirmed with 51.97 % of votes in the first ballot in office.

Finances

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 754 thousand in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) equivalent to € 71k.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of Agriculture and Forestry 10, 136 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 17 persons work at the workplace.
