Former castle of the Counts of Castell - Castell Rüdenhausen on Jezioro Niesłysz ( Big Nieschlitzsee ). The castle was built in the 19th century in Neo-Renaissance style. It then underwent numerous changes in ownership. Around the summer / autumn of 1944 it was in a maternity home of the National Socialist People's Welfare (NSV ) converted for evacuees from Berlin and the surrounding area. Today it also serves as a rehabilitation facility and hotel.

In 1847, a 100 -pound iron meteorite from the class of Oktaedrite was excavated in Seeläsgen.

It is similar in composition to the meteorite find of Morasko, so it could therefore be at one of several spin-offs of this main meteorite (see Wasson & Kallemeyn, 2002).
