PsychOpen
Psych Open is one of the Leibniz - Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID ) operated European Open Access publishing platform for psychology, which combines the traditional academic publishing with the release on the internet. Published journals from all areas of psychology with the aim to improve access to psychological literature.
Principle
Psych Open is basically free and open. This manifests itself on several levels:
- Content: all fields of psychology and its neighboring disciplines in both the academic and vocational - applied area
- Types of publications: journal articles, monographs, clinical studies, etc.
- Languages: multilingual with English content metadata (title, keywords and abstracts)
- Cost: free use for authors, editors and readers

Technical Infrastructure
The technical infrastructure is provided by ZPID. Psych Open uses Open Journal Systems, an open source software that was developed specifically for managing academic peer-reviewed open- access journals.

Psych Open is a member of CLOCKSS, CrossRef and OASPA, the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association.
