Publius Tullius Varro

Publius Tullius Varro was a Roman politician and senator.

Life

Publius Tullius Varro was from a plebeian Roman family, the original home was in Tarquinii. He was the son of the senator Publius Tullius Varro, who had last been proconsul of the province of Macedonia. Publius Dasumius Rusticus was his brother.

Finally, he was transferred to the Lower Rhine as commander of the legio VI victrix pia fidelis. Circa 123/124, he was ulterior proconsul of the province of Baetica, then, back in Rome, Praefectus aerarii Saturn and Suffektkonsul for the month of April 127 He then became curator alvei et ripae Tiber et cloacae urbis, later ( 130-32 ) then Legatus Augusti per praetore in the province of Moesia superior.
