Puffy AmiYumi

Puffy AmiYumi as they are called, due to legal conflicts with Sean " Puffy " Combs in the U.S. Puffy (proper spelling PUFFY ), or, is a Japanese pop duo.

Ami Onuki (born 1973), whose nickname is " Sue ", and Yumi Yoshimura (born 1975), known as "Jane", were found by two different talent agencies and put together in 1995. Their first release Asia no Junshin (アジア の 純真) has already sold a million copies and their success continued with further albums ( 14 million records sold in Japan).

In Europe, the band, however, is largely unknown. On German television, however, runs an eponymous animated series from Cartoon Network, whose main characters are supposed to represent them and in their opening and closing credits, they are also seen in human form.

Puffy AmiYumi are also represented on the album The Body Acoustic by Cyndi Lauper Girls Just Want To Have with Fun, further they controlled for Guitar Wolf tribute album I Love Guitar Wolf Very Much a cover version of Can -Nana Fever at.

2010 give PUFFY after 11 or even 12 years back, a concert in Hong Kong (23 September 2010) and Taiwan (25 September 2010). A new CD is planned, which will be titled " Kani to Tomoni Sarinu ".
