Pulai River

The Pulai ( Sungai Pulai Malaysian ) is a small river about 22 km in length at the southwest end of the Malay Peninsula in the state of Johor. The river rises near the town of Pekan Nenas, south of the mountain Gunung Pulai. He is very highly branched and forms the border between the two districts of Pontian and Johor Bahru. The largest part of the river bed runs through the mangrove forest. At the mouth to have a width of 2.8 km. On the east bank of the Delta Port of Tanjung Pelepas is located. In the mouth is the largest sea grass field in Malaysia, which extends to the island of Pulau Merambong. Lately the river mainly because of the environmental initiative "SOS" ( Save Our Seahorses ), the leading animal is the Spotted Seahorse (Hippocampus kuda ), the media appears.
