Pulley

In the sailor language as a pulley tackle and the bottle is called a block; the rope used in the tackle is called runners. The tackle has a fixed part, which denotes the end at which the rotor is mounted, and a loose or fetching Part

For stopping the rotor of one of the two blocks is usually equipped with a becket. (Picture below, No. 2, upper block, No. 3, lower block )

In order to exercise the fetching part a tensile force, it is usually necessary to change their direction by a so-called lead block, a pulley,.

As -strategies or tackle is referred to for each block and a combination of rope blocks with more than three slices. This connection is used to lift very heavy loads. In a sechsscheibigen Gien with three slices per block, the power saving is 1:6

In mehrscheibigen tackles a new rotor is in a certain order, the reeving, threaded, to achieve a uniform wear of the rolls and no twisting.

Jolltau

The Jolltau is a rope that runs over a block that does not generate power savings and only serves to deflect the direction of pull. It is not a tackle, but is related to it. (Figure 1)

Folding rotor

The folding rotor is a simple block and tackle, as shown right below 2. He is a small, composed of two type of single blocks and tackle.
