Occurrence
Habitat requirements
The Narrow- lung herb grows in dry forests, sparse bushes and forest edges. It prefers warm, mostly loose, mildhumose sand or loess.
Popularization
Pulmonaria angustifolia comes from the Caucasus to Eastern and Southeastern Europe, on Central Germany to southern Scandinavia to the Rhine area before. In Austria, the species is rare and endangered in Switzerland, the family is apparently not represented.
Distribution in Germany
The Narrow- lung herb is rare in Germany, especially in northern Bavaria and Thuringia ago. Moreover, it is found only sporadically.
Others
The genus Pulmonaria is extremely complex and difficult. Between the individual species are numerous transitions and hybrid forms. Some of the specific taxa can be determined only by chromosome analysis. The distribution of data in the literature are thus often incomplete or incorrect.
Species protection
Threat in Germany: Category 2: endangered!
The species is protected specifically under BArtSchV!
