PunBB#FluxBB
FluxBB is a fast and lightweight PHP - powered software to provide an internet forum. The software is free, open source and released under the GNU General Public License. The goal is to be less graphic intensive, better output-optimized and thus faster than other Internet forums. In the development of FluxBB priority is given to the most important functions of an Internet forum. Additional functions were includable from FluxBB version 1.3 using extensions ( Extensions). This modification of the source code have been avoided and simplifies the update process. FluxBB is semantically correct XHTML and CSS.

FluxBB 1.3, which does not make it past the development stage, added the function spectrum, add a new one-click extension system that allows users was the ability to easily extend the functionality. Version 1.3 also improved markup and CSS.
History
FluxBB is a fork of PunBB, which was originally developed by Rickard Andersson. In 2007, the name PunBB was sold to a private company and the software developed under the auspices Andersson. In April 2008 Rickard Andersson however, a longer time-out announced.
On 9 May 2008 decided the leftover developer team to secede from PunBB and continue the project as their own. FluxBB is the result of this spin-off.
The FluxBB developers Connor was on 10 January 2009 that the development strategy of FluxBB have changed. The branch version 1.2 should be maintained below the version number 1.4 and extended to functions of FluxBB 1.3. FluxBB 1.3 should be further developed as version 2.0 with more features.
The latest stable version 1.2.23 of FluxBB 1.2. * Series is the fifth security update for PunBB 1.2.17. However, the latest stable release is version 1.4.8.
