Punschkrapfen

The Punschkrapfen (also in the diminutive Punschkrapferl ) is an Austrian dessert.

It is a cube ( or cylinder) of sponge cake filled with a mass of jam, rum or punch and chocolate and covered with a pink glaze (so-called punch glaze, as such available in Austria ). Punschkrapferln sometimes serve as leftovers from frumpy become Biskuitteigprodukten, the Inländerrum covers a possible Altgeschmack effectively.

After original recipes Punschkrapfen always contain alcohol and not just the rum punch or flavor. Contemporary and Soft Punschkrapfen increasingly offered.

Punschkrapfen are similar to the French Pastry Petit Four.
