Pyotr Pochinchuk

Pyotr Ivanovich Potschintschuk (Russian Пётр Иванович Починчук, English transcription Pyotr Pochinchuk, . Born July 23, 1954 in Otschino, Rajon Malaryta; † December 1, 1991 ) was a White Russian mountaineers who in the 1970s and 1980s for the Soviet Union on 20 -km distance took.

The European Athletics Championships 1978 in Prague and at the Olympic Games in 1980 he won the silver medal.

In 1982 he became Soviet champion and tenth at the European Championships in Athens, 1983, he arrived at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki on the 13th Place.

His personal best of 1:20:28 hours he put up as a fifth at the race walking World Cup 1979.

To his memory has been held since 1998 in Hrodna an international race walking competition instead.
