Qasr -e Shirin (Persian قصرشيرين ) is a city in the Iranian province of Kermanshah near the Iraq border. The city is located on the right side of the river Hulwanrud. Qasr -e Shirin was an important caravanserai on the trade route that connected Baghdad with Iran.

The city is home to many ruins from the period of the Sassanids. This includes palace ruins. The name of the city means Schirins palace. Shirin was the favorite wife of the Persian king Chosroes II.

In World War Qasr -e Shirin was the seat of the support of the German government " Provisional Government ", called "Committee X". This was under the leadership of Reza Qoli Khan Nezam al Saltaneh, the Governor of Lorestan and Hassan Modarres.
