Qatar Foundation

The Qatar Foundation is a private foundation in the Emirate of Qatar. It was established in 1995 by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and his second wife, Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned established. The Foundation has since presided Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned. The Qatar Foundation promotes educational and scientific projects, such as the campus Education City in Doha, on which various universities - including six U.S. universities have branch offices there - have gathered. Among the funded projects also include the Technology Centre Qatar Science & Technology Park ( QSTP ) on which numerous international companies have settled for research and development purposes.

On 10 December 2010, the FC Barcelona has a sponsorship deal for shirt advertising than 170 million euros (paid by the Qatar Sports Investment) for the period of five years with the Qatar Foundation announced.
