Qin Er Shi

Qin Er Shi ( Second Emperor of Qin ) or He Shi Huangdi (二世 皇帝) called himself the second emperor of China ( 230 BC *, † October 207 BC). He reigned 209-207 BC, his personal name was Ying Huhai (嬴 胡亥).

Qin Er Shi was the son of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty, but not really the Crown Prince. 210 BC, he accompanied his father on a trip to the East of China, on which of these died suddenly. Following he falsified the advice of the chief eunuch Zhao Gao and Li Si of the Registrar a decree of his father, through which he obtained the suicide orders his brother Fusu, the actual heirs and he appointed himself to succeed. Fusu followed this command.

When Emperor Qin Er Shi was not able to cope with the rebels in the country. He was so addicted that he became the chief eunuch Zhao Gao from the puppet. 207 BC was the Qin Dynasty at the edge of collapse. Zhao Gao feared that the Emperor would alone assign blame him. Therefore, he conspired with others - they forced the emperor to commit suicide.

A son of Fusu, Ziying was then made ​​by Zhao Gao King of Qin. Soon after, the chief eunuch Zhao Gao killed Ziying and surrendered a year later, Liu Bang.
