QorIQ

QorIQ is, a series of microcontrollers with PowerPC architecture Freescale Semiconductor. It consists of five product families P1 -P5, all of which rest on the e500 processor core, or its successors. You will find in embedded systems, above all as a network device (router, switch) use.

P1

The P1 series is equipped with Gigabit Ethernet controllers, two USB 2.0 controllers, a 32 -bit DDR2 and DDR3 RAM controller with ECC support, two quad - direct memory access (DMA ) controllers, and SerDes, which as PCI Express and SGMII high-speed interface can be configured equipped. P3

The P3 series has L3 cache, DUART, GPIO and USB 2.0, cryptographic modules, and a SerDes connection with 18 lanes that can be configured as Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, RapidIO or PCI Express. The series P3 -5 share the same housing.

P4

The P4 - P3 series is identical to the series, except for the higher power.

The P5 series uses 64 -bit e5500 cores with up to 2.5 GHz, but otherwise it is backward compatible to P3 and P4.

AMP

The AMP microcontrollers are all based on the 64- bittigen e6500 core with AltiVec support. The clock frequency ranges up to 2.5 Ghz, the chips will be manufactured in a 28 nm production process.
