Quanitta Underwood

Queen Underwood ( born May 8, 1984) is an American boxer. She won a bronze medal in the lightweight at the 2010 World Cup.

Career

Queen Underwood began at the age of 19 years in 2003 with the boxes. Previously, she ran track and played basketball. It belongs to the boxing club Cappy's Boxing Club and Gym Seattle, WA. Your trainer is Cappy Kotz.

In 2007 she was the first time U.S. Champion in Welterweight ( weight category up to 63 kg body weight) with wins over Ishika Lay and Christina Reddick. In the same year she started in the same weight class at the Pan American Championships in Durán / Ecuador and finished there with a win over Nadia Ballot, Guatemala and after one defeat against Katie Dunn of Canada ( 10:20 ) 3rd place. In 2008, Queen Underwood was U.S. champion again. She beat Wendy Casey play in the final on points ( 12:9 ). At the Pan American Championships in 2008 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, she reached the final, where they lost to Katie Dunn, however, again from Canada to points ( 5:16 ). Then in November 2008 she also launched at the World Championships in Ningbo / China. She defeated at lightweight Mawzuna Tschorajewa from Tajikistan ( 7:7 ), Supaporn Srisondee from Thailand and Denis Jelisejewa from Bulgaria ( 6:3 ) on points and only lost in the semifinals of the multiple world champion Katie Taylor from Ireland, almost ( 16:18) after points.
