Queen's Gallery

The Queen's Gallery is a public art gallery at Buckingham Palace. It was opened in 1962 and is located on the site of a former chapel from 1843, which destroyed a German bomb on 13 September 1940. In 2002 the gallery was renovated and re-opened on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee, the selected design in a competition presented the architect John Simpson & Partners, a in 1997.

Exhibits

In the gallery works of the Royal Collection are shown, for example, in 1968 it was the work of Anthony van Dyck. There hung with paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens and Canaletto. The gallery can be visited daily.
