The Quesnel Airport is a regional airport in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The airport is located at the northern end of the city between Highway 35 and the Fraser River. It offers its visitors free parking. It is in the time zone UTC-8 (DST -7).
History
The airport was opened in 1942. In 1968 the first terminal was built. Soon after Quesnel was served by commercial airlines. Beginning of the 80s was no longer enough, the capacity of the existing terminal and began the planning for a new, larger terminal. It was completed in 1993. In 1997, the airport was taken over by the City of Quesnel.
