Quicksilva

Quick Silva was a British software company for computer games, which was known especially at the beginning of the 1980s, through its software releases. The company was founded by John Hollis and Nick Lambert.

Were among the most popular games of the company Jeff Minter's Grid Runner ( 1983) Bugaboo (1983 ), a title which has been licensed by the Spanish software company Indescomp SA, and Sandy White's Ant Attack (1983). The most successful time, the company in the years 1983-1984, in which they brought the home computer version of Star Raiders ( under the name Time - Gate (1983)) on the market and also released the first home computer version of the game Battlezone (1984).

In 1987 the company's name from Grand Slam Entertainment was purchased. The last game that was released under the name Quick Silva, was Pac-Land (1989).

Quick Silva released games for the home computer Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum, but also for the VC20, Dragon 32/64, BBC Micro and Acorn Atom.
