QuickTime Broadcaster

QuickTime Broadcaster is a protocol developed by Apple free program that compresses audio and video signals in real time and provides a corresponding live stream.

QuickTime Broadcaster uses the QuickTime framework in order to generate MPEG-4, 3GPP and QuickTime-compatible live streams. These streams can be provided directly or with a streaming server over the Internet or a network.

Programs or devices, such as QuickTime Player, the Video LAN Client, the PlayStation Portable or modern mobile phones can play these audio or video streams live.
