Quinault River

BW

It originates deep in the Olympic Mountains in Olympic National Park and flows southwest through the Enchanted Valley. A few kilometers above the Lake Quinault he unites with its main source river, the North Fork Quinault River.

The actual Quinault River is sometimes referred to above this confluence as the East Fork Quinault River. Below this confluence, the river marks the boundary of the Olympic National Park for a few miles before it flows into Lake Quinault. Then the Quinault River flows southwest until it reaches the Pacific Ocean at Taholah.

The river is named after the Quinault Indians resident on the lower reaches.
