Røa IL

Røa Idrettslag (short: Røa IL ) is a football club from Oslo ( Norway). The first women's football team plays in the Norwegian league 's top series.

History

Røa IL was founded on 11 November 1900. The women's soccer team was founded in 1993 and rose in 2000 to the Topp series. The team was able to quickly establish itself in the Norwegian top flight in 2004 and was able to cheer twice. First one was with one point ahead of Trondheim -Ørn SK champion. Then beat in the cup final Asker SK 2-1. To UEFA Women 's Cup they beat United Pietasaari from Finland and Pärnu JK from Estonia. The group victory, however, was missed by a defeat against Valur Reykjavík Iceland. Two years later Røa won for the second time the cup final. Re- named the opponent Asker SK. This time Røa won 3-2. In 2007 the club won its second championship. In the Cup final but they lost Kolbotn IL. 2010 won the "Dynamite Girls" for the third time the trophy in the final they sat down significantly by 7-0 against Trondheim -Ørn SK. In the league they finished in the same year the second final place behind Stabæk Fotboll.

The club plays its home games at the stadium " Røabanen " on. The stadium has an artificial pitch. The club colors are red and yellow.
