Raban Gamliel VI

Gamaliel VI. was the last Jewish Patriarch of 400-415.

The dismissal of the last Jewish patriarch Gamaliel VI. , On October 17, 415 is mentioned in the 22 Edict of the eighth chapter of the 16th book of the Theodosian Code.

Gamaliel VI. was in addition to his position as a religious leader and highest judicial authority also a gifted physician. Marcellus Empiricus mentioned a remedy for diseases of the spleen, which had been developed under Gamalielus Patriarcha ( De Medicamentis, liber 21).
