Radeon R100
The Radeon 7000 series is a series of desktop graphics chip company ATI Technologies and successor of Rage series. It is thus the first generation of GPUs with the name ATI Radeon. It was replaced by the ATI Radeon 8000 series.
GPUs
Within the Radeon 7000 series graphics processors different are used, which differ in terms of manufacturing technology and the 3D capabilities. A new development in relation to the ATI Rage series was HyperZ for more efficient memory usage.
Naming
The R100 was originally developed under the code name Rage6C, ATI decided then but for a new sales name to save the poor image of Rage series can.

Notes:
- The specified clock rates are fixed or recommended by ATI. However, the final determination of clock rates is in the hands of the respective graphics cards manufacturers and there are so quite graphics card models that have different clock rates. A collection of all actual models would go beyond the article by far.
