Radio Rebelde

Radio Rebelde is a Cuban radio station, Radio Habana Cuba next to the one of the most famous Cuban radio stations.

History

Radio Rebelde was a small pirate radio station of the Cuban rebel army during the Cuban Revolution, which was largely founded by Ernesto Che Guevara. The goal was the state propaganda Batista to fight against the guerrillas and to advertise for their own objectives. In fact, more and more people heard during the revolution the forbidden transmitter and gained confidence in the information provided by the guerrillas. On February 24, 1958, the Radio Rebelde participated in the Comandancia General de La Plata at the foot of Pico Turquino its work. One of the first employees was Carlos Franqui.
