Radionics

Radionics is a scientifically unsubstantiated healing method that is associated with the esoteric. It is referred to by their users as well as energy medicine or medical information.

Radionics was of the pathologist Albert Abrams ( * 1863 in San Francisco, † 1924) established around 1920 in the U.S., at that time still under the symbol ERA (Electronic Reaction of Abrams ). The term " radionics " refers for the book author Edward Russell on the assumption that the human organism responds to radio waves, the carrier aufmodulierter can be " healing information ."

Overview

Radionics is based as well as others based on postulated forms of energy theories of the existence of a subtle energy field around the human, which depending on the source and feature focus as " aura ", " energy body ", " vibrational field ", " biofield ", " chakra " or " life energy " is referred to and electromagnetic waves ( " biophotons " ) emits. Supporters claim this " box " can be made visible by Kirlian photography.

It is believed that the disease is first produced by a disturbance of this energy field and therefore can already be detected and cured before they cause physically detectable symptoms. Since the vibrational patterns of sick organisms differed in a characteristic way from those of healthy organisms could sensing when and where the energy field of a human being is disturbed ( cf. dowsing ) a trained therapist.

The alleged healing effects of radionics basically is to generate pulses to stimulate the self-healing process in the patient's system. For this purpose, the weak to therapists to electromagnetic fields is exposed. If successful, the oscillations in the energy field to cause a resonance that led to the disturbances disappear.

The treatment is divided into an energetic analysis and subsequent therapy. Originally radionic analyzes were performed with radiesthetic tools such as a pendulum or rods. The therapy was, however, already at that time on electronic equipment that could produce electromagnetic oscillations.

Today's computer-based analysis and therapy systems are usually made of a simple antenna ( " LED" ), which is provided with an alleged " screening against technical radiation sources " and through an interface (often in the form of a USB flash drive ) connected to a computer can. The antenna will first detect the energy field by means of a hair or saliva sample from the patient. The computer program determined from the data obtained the "cure information" that are intended to achieve the therapeutic effect. They are sent in the subsequent treatment as an electromagnetic wave pattern mostly determined by the practitioner time intervals via the antenna, in turn, to the patient.

In this way, users of radionics want to transfer the determined oscillation information on sugar globules or alcoholic carriers and see them afterwards as homeopathic preparations. In addition to special Repertorisationssoftware it be called radionic " wave generators " available that will " soar " the alleged homeopathic information electronically to the carrier.

Meanwhile, there are the radionic analysis and therapy also pure software systems. Some radionic followers argue that a computer will affect even without special attachments of the " biological energy fields " in a manner and, conversely, the " energy fields " influencing, so that it was possible only with special software pathological disturbances in the energy field of a register people and eliminate them. This theory is countered that conventional computer systems are, however, affected by the use not of weak electromagnetic fields.

Stand- alone devices that work without computer, usually in the form of a black box with a number of switches that have numeric codes to represent different energy states are displayed.

Reception

Skeptics continue to rate the views of Radionics Pendant largely as esoteric, the alleged treatment success as quackery or even as simple a dizziness. The impact of radio waves on disease processes per se is scientifically studied ( see, for example ), without, however, resorting to the considered as unscientific theses of radionics.

Proponents of Radionics, however, rely on, for example, hypotheses and theories of British biologist Rupert Sheldrake on morphic fields. In many cases work of Masaru Emoto be cited, claiming water " live ", as well as by Bernd Kröplin representing similar views. However, the published results of these studies were not reproducible.

1922 Upton Sinclair visited the clinic Abrams and published a report.

Application

Radionics is widespread in Germany little. Application finds especially in natural healing practices and in the holistic life coaching. Devices and remote healings are mainly offered on the Internet. They are used by its advocates with any disease or disorder and are recommended by this also in cancer, rheumatism and heart disease. This includes medical conditions that are unknown in evidence-based medicine and contrary to fundamental insights about human physiology (see, " water allergy" ).

Also for the use of radionics in business consulting, sports, education, agriculture and fish farming, there are vendors who have received patents filed in part for these applications or granted.

Since the 1930s, use some users, especially the followers of Ruth B. Drown, Radionics also for the purpose of distance healing.
