Raetovari

Rätovarier (also Raetovarier, Latin: Raetobarii ) was a Alamannic tribe, probably in the Ries. The trunk is only in the Notitia Dignitatum virtue of which they served the Eastern Empire together with the Bucinobanten in Hofarmee ( auxilia palatine ).

The name comes from the name of the Roman province of Raetia and the Germanic tribe name part * warijôz " residents " together, or " people of the (former) province of Raetia ."
