Rafael Souto

Rafael Souto, full name Rafael Ángel Castro Souto, ( born October 24, 1930 [ A 1 ] in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Association

The offensive player Souto, son of La Coruña originating parents belonged to at least 1953 to 1954 the squad Nacional Montevideo in La Liga on. Later he was engaged by Atlético Madrid, where on 24 February 1955, he took up the training for the first time and was active until 1956. There he came to five appearances and scored a hit.

National

Souto was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay, for which he completed six caps between 1 March 1953 to 30 June 1954. An international goal he did not achieve. Souto belonged to the squad of Uruguay to the South American Championship 1953 in Peru. He also participated with Uruguay at the 1954 World Cup. There he came in the course of the competition in the semi-final defeat against Hungary for his single tournament use.
