Rafał Grzelak (born 24 June 1982 in Łódź, Poland ) is a Polish footballer.

Career

Grzelak comes from the youth of Widzew Łódź and in 1997 to Orzel Łódź, where he began his career. After two seasons there, he joined LKS Lodz, where he had his first appearances in the Ekstraklasa. During the winter break of the 2000/2001 season, the left midfielder of Lodz joined Ruch Chorzów, where he was able to achieve 3 goals in a total of 24 games. After strong performances there MSV Duisburg became aware of Grzelak and loaned him out for half a year. After the loan, he returned to Poland, where he only then could gain a foothold in Lech Poznan to stations such as Widzew Łódź and Piotrcovia Piotrków, and won the Polish Football Cup and the Super Cup there among others. For the 2004/2005 season Grzelak moved for two years to Pogoń Szczecin, where he was able to achieve 4 goals for the club in 45 games. After his station in Germany, he tried in 2006 for the first time abroad again. His new employer was the five-time cup winners Portuguese Boavista Porto. After misunderstandings with the coach he went to Winter 2007 AO Xanthi in Greece, where he has a contract until 30 June 2012. For the 2009/2010 season Rafał Grzelak changes to Romania to Steaua Bucharest. Here he was, however, only a substitute and could not generate any hits in only six league games. In the UEFA Europa League, he was also six times for use and scoring one goal in a 2-1 victory against Ujpest. From the season 2010/2011 he played again for Widzew Łódź in the Polish Ekstraklasa. After a year he moved on to league rivals and his former club Ruch Chorzów. There he was singled out after half a year and exiled to the squad of the team in the Młoda Ekstraklasa, the separate Polish Youth Football League. On February 7, 2013, he signed a half -year contract with the Polish second division club Arka Gdynia.
