Raging Speedhorn

Raging Speed ​​Horn was an English extreme metal band from Corby, Northamptonshire, which was founded in 1998 and disbanded again in 2008.

History

The band was formed in August 1998 after the collapse of the two bands Soulcellar and box of guitarist Gareth Smith, singer Frank Regan ( at Soulcellar worked as a drummer ) and bassist Darren Smith from Soulcellar and the Box Gitarrsten Tony and his brother Jon Loughlin (vocals ) and drummer Gordon Morison founded. Following the release of several demos and playing from various concerts, the band performed as the opening band for Ministry in the London Astoria, thereby increased the popularity of the band. It was followed by other performances, among others, along with Slipknot. The group was able to sign a record deal with SPV. There was a funded by the UK Metal Hammer tour with Tribute to Nothing and Charger. In the same year, the band played as the opening act for Rammstein on their UK tour, followed by a European tour with Ill Niño and Pitch Shifter.

In January 2004, guitarist Loughlin left the band and was replaced by Jaye Thompson (Ex - defenestration ). Style

The band's music can not be accurately attributed to a genre. The Rock Hard described the works as hard " cocktail of hardware, Hate and Doomcore, Noise and Heavy Metal".
