Ragnar Sigurðsson

Ragnar Sigurðsson ( born June 19, 1986 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic football player. His position is in central defense.

Career

Association

Ragnar Sigurðsson played until 2006 in his home country at Fylkir Reykjavík, before joining the Swedish giants IFK Göteborg 2006. There, the 1.87 meter tall and 85 kg defender matured soon become regulars and thus attracted the attention of many European clubs in coming.

For the 2011/2012 season he changes for the equivalent of 800,000 euros to the Danish champions FC Copenhagen where he signed a four year contract.

During the winter break of the 2013/14 season, he spent 3 million euros to Russia and signed with FK Krasnodar a contract until 2016.

National

On 22 August 2007 Ragnar Sigurðsson against Canada celebrated his debut in the national team.
