Raigón is a village in Uruguay.

Geography

Raigón is located on the territory of the department of San José in its sector 2 The location is just east of the department capital San José de Mayo, surrounded by the north-west and south-east passing near town, Arroyo Carreta Quemada and Arroyo del Raigón, both tributaries of the Río San José. In the south-east is found a few kilometers away Rodríguez.

Infrastructure

Through the village leads the Ruta 11 and the railway line Montevideo - San Jose - Colonia.

Population

The population of Raigón is 738 (as of 2011), of which 345 male and 393 female.
