Raikküla Parish

Raikküla ( German: Rayküll ) is a rural municipality in the Estonian county Rapla with an area of ​​224.2 km ². Raikküla has 1754 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2006).

In addition to the main town Tamme for rural community includes the villages Jalase, Kaigepere, Keo, Koikse, Kõrvetaguse, Lipa, Lipametsa, Loe, Lõpemetsa, Metsküla, Nõmmemetsa, Nõmmküla, Polma, Pühatu, Purku, Raela, Raikküla, Riidaku, Ummaru, Vahakõnnu and Valli.

It is known the manor of Raikküla in the classical style. It was built 1819/20 with an imposing portico, surrounded by a large park. On the grounds, inter alia, lived the famous German Balts Alexander Graf Keyserling (Zoology, Geology ) and Hermann Graf Keyserling (philosopher ). Stayer in Raikküla was Otto von Bismarck, the recalls a now dried oak.
