Rainmaking

Artificial rain rain is generated by the " vaccination " of clouds with salts and other chemicals of people.

Roelof Bruintjes by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR ), together with a research team in Coahuila (Mexico ) Clouds sprayed with a mixture of sodium, magnesium and calcium chloride, and thus artificial rain.

The water vapor of the clouds found in the ions of the salts have a fixed point to which it accumulates and forms raindrops then go because of their weight at some point to the floor. The rainfall thus generated is stronger than natural rain and extends over a wider area.

Also silver is used for such purposes, as in the hail airmen. The silver iodide used falls with the rain together down to Earth, albeit in less dangerous dose for health.

First attempts to produce artificial rain, there was in 1950 as part of the Tanganyika Groundnut Scheme.
