Raita

Raita is an Indian dish or a side dish of yogurt base. In contrast to related European appetizers, like the Greek tzatziki, Turkish Čačík or the Bulgarian Tarator, raita is based on a flexible ingredient composition. So even tomatoes, carrots, mild and spicy peppers, onions, sometimes pickled vegetables and spices such as cumin or turmeric are also often Raita cucumber or garlic, but used in a variety of ratios.

Use

Raita is traditionally served as an accompanying dish to various other Indian dishes such as curry, dal, sweet - spicy and sour pickled vegetables or Indian bread. It can be combined in many ways with other foods according to personal taste.
