Origin and History

Hailing from around the Indian city of Rajapalayam dog whose origin lies largely in the dark said to have been involved in the development of the modern Dalmatian. Description

The Rajapalayam is another Indian dog of the greyhound type, 65 to 75 cm tall, with short, smooth haired coat in many colors. The most prized color is milk, with pink nose and golden eyes, but also black and brown to be earlier in contrast, like seen today. It is similar to Mudhol Hound, but is a bit stronger, as he was formerly used for hunting wild boar.
