Ralf Törngren's cabinet

The Cabinet Törngren was the 38th cabinet in the history of Finland. It held office on May 5, 1954 to October 20, 1954 (169 days).

After the parliamentary elections in March 1954, the Land League under Urho Kekkonen and the Social Democratic Party for the first time agreed to a joint government since an economic crisis whose solution had divided the two most powerful parties. However, was elected as Prime Minister with the former Foreign Minister Ralf Törngren a member of the Swedish People's Party. In October Landbund and Social Democrats finally formed a government under the leadership Kekkonen and without the Swedish People's Party, which remained until the election of Kekkonen was elected president in 1956 in office.
