Ralph Broome

Ralph Broome ( born July 5, 1889, Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, India, † 25 January 1985 in Poole, England ) was a British bobsledder.

Broome was born at the foot of the Himalayas, the son of a British military officer. During World War II he served in the tank corps of the British Army and was promoted to Major.

Together with Thomas Arnold, Alexander Richardson and Rodney Soher Broome won at the Olympic Winter Games in 1924 in I. Chamonix the silver medal in four-man bobsleigh. He was the first born in Asia medalist in the Winter Games.
