Ralph Brunner

Ralph Brunner ( born November 21, 1971 in Wiggensbach ) is a former German racing wheelchair athletes and participants of the Summer Paralympics in Sydney in 2000 and the Summer Paralympics in Beijing in 2008. At the Paralympics in Sydney, he won the bronze medal with the 4x100m relay.

Sporting career

His disciplines are the 1500m, 5000m and the marathon. His disability is a double - knee amputation. His club was the HSC Erfurt. His trainer was Christiane Peters. He finished at the European Championships 2001 3rd place over 1500m. In the 2002 World Cup, he was second with the 4x100m relay at the 2007 World Championships and he placed 3rd over 5000m. At the Paralympics in Beijing in 2008 he finished 10th in the marathon.

Brunner is a professional engineer. He is married, has two children and lived in 2012 in Tannheim.
