Ralph Erskine (preacher)

Ralph Erskine ( born March 18, 1685November 6, 1752 ) was a Scottish preacher.

Ralph Erskine was the brother of Ebenezer Erskine, another important church man of his time. After completing his studies at the University of Edinburgh Ralph Erskine worked in the Scottish town of Dunfermline.

He wrote a series of sermons (English: " sermons" ) and poetic paraphrases and gospel sonnet, which were published in printed form as The Gospel Sonnets.

In the city center of Dunfermline is in the vicinity of the High Street a life -size statue in bronze is erected, which is Ralph Erskine.
