The Rama VIII Bridge ( Thai: สะพาน พระราม 8 - Saphan Phra Ram phàt ) is a cable-stayed bridge in Bangkok, Thailand. It was officially opened on 20 September 2002.

The bridge consists of a single 160-meter high pylon, which is about 1/ 3 of the length of the bridge from the north-western end of the bridge. The pylon is topped by a gilded sculpture of a stylized flame. At the pylon the four-lane roadway is suspended diagonally stretched, gilded sails, which are illuminated at night by floodlights. Including slip roads, the bridge is 2.45 kilometers long, spans the Chao Phraya River.

The bridge is named after the eighth king of the currently reigning Chakri dynasty Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII ). His portrait is depicted on the back of a 20 - baht banknote, together with the bridge.
