Ramihrdus of Cambrai

Ramihrdus († 1076 or 1077 ) was a layman from the area of Lambres, who was accused of heresy and burned.

The Chronicle of St. Andrew in Cambrai reported that Ramihrdus was the local bishop noticed by the proliferation of unorthodox teachings. Ramihrdus was charged before a spiritual meeting, but took no offense at his teachings. When he then, however, refused to receive communion from the hands of the clergy present and those accused of simony, he was led into a hut and burned with this.

In a letter dated March 25, 1077 Pope Gregory VII wrote to the Bishop of Paris, Godfrey of Boulogne, to investigate the matter to Ramihrdus and to excommunicate those responsible for its combustion.
